I really, really, love summer!  Definitely haven’t had too much of the heat yet… and I realize that we’ll be complaining about the cold in just a few short months…

This has been an interesting summer so far… lots of things happening: some very good, others not so much.  I’m thankful that God is faithful and He is steady.  Great Strength for the tough times…

Saturday morning prepping for another set of services… reading, praying, making extra notes on my charts, and practicing a bit more… We had a great rehearsal with the Team on Thursday!  I’m looking forward to being with them this weekend…

It’s been an intense past two weeks… two good friends have gone to be with the Lord: one of whom has been my wife’s closest friend… We had the privilege of singing at the funeral, it was a great time of celebrating life and celebrating the graduation of our good friend to heaven… it’s still a loss to us, but the greatest gain for Jan…

Losing a loved one makes me think a lot about this life…

We’re also trusting God for His grace and mercy concerning two very good friends of ours who appear to be in the last stages of their battles with cancer… Praying for His peace and strength for them and their families…

Don’t forget to honor “yo Mama” on Sunday!  We are having Parent/Child Dedications on Sunday at the 9:00 and 11:00 services.  That will fit in nicely on this important day!

We had a great Team rehearsal last night!  This is a nice combination of players and singers.  We have not used this particular group all together before, but I am confident that God will be praised and honored as we worship..!

A nice addition to our vocal rehearsal was the “v3 Team”.  The v3 Team (Video Venue Vocal Team) are the singers that will be leading worship in our new venue, “The Gallery”, when it opens on May 15th @ 11 am.  This is our second rehearsal together, and it is going to be a great group…

I really enjoyed being with, and working with, this week’s Team.  The Celebration Choir has been working for the past 6 weeks to prepare.  We had some great worship, prayer, and fellowship, as well as a lot of laughs during rehearsals…

Our Band kicked!  Such a fun, talented, and humble bunch of players… we greatly missed having Polly on keys, though!

The Tech Teams were great as well… and Joe, Tom, and Elivia did a really nice job on the production of the “cross” piece… Clement’s opening “monologue” was a great way to start things off!
